Sam Manfredi
USGTF Level III Member
Boca Raton, Florida

Sam Manfredi’s love of golf grew steadily from the time a friend and colleague first introduced him to the game in Ontario, Canada, in 1999. A natural athlete, Manfridi’s ability was immediately apparent, and despite starting later in life and the limited playing season, his skills advanced quickly. Accepting a job transfer to South Florida in early 2002 accelerated his expertise.

Year-round play fed his growing passion for the sport, and he has been an intense student of the game since. From his beginning average score of over 110, he since posted a handicap of 3 at his home course Boca Greens Golf and Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida. His first professional lesson was with Martin Green, a pro who has coached golf greats, among them the likes of Vijay Singh.

Manfredi has several golf milestones to his name, including regular amateur tournament placements and a recorded hole in one in 2008. He pursued Level III USGTF full certification for golf instruction with the goal of transferring his athletic prowess and business skills to the golf industry. His quiet observation, quick sense of humor, and calm demeanor make him a favorite on and off the course.

He credits a variety of instruction aids for his own swift improvement on the links, and he clearly and competently shares techniques and tips. From computerized evaluation and high-speed camera shots to motion repetition for muscle memory, he believes that there are many approaches to improvement in the game.

Manfredi has more than 25 years of progressive experience in carrier management, system logistics, operations, industrial engineering, project management, and material handling management. His formal employment encompasses ten years with UPS, ten years with Purolator Courier, and ten years providing logistics consulting for major corporations and third-party logistics companies in Canada and the United States. He was the owner and principal consultant of Manfredi Consulting Ltd. in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and Manfredi & Associates, Inc. in the United States. Sam has consulted for organizations around the globe, including multi-national corporations in Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and the U.K. and Oman.

LEAN certification, Project Management Professional designation, and a Six Sigma Black Belt all attest to the dedication Sam commits to his endeavors. Transferring his attention to detail, understanding of engineering, mathematics and physics, and leadership skills to golf instruction benefits his students. Sam’s pursuit of excellence is shared by students and other avid golfers. His quest for continuous improvement will also ensure he continues to expand his teaching skills to the Master Golf Teaching Professional level.
